1.32  The Kunaki manufactured audio CD disc does not play in some CD players. Is this a manufacturing or media defect?
If the audio CD plays on some players and not on other players it is almost always because you did not master your original audio CD correctly or it is not mastered as an audio CD. For example, some CD players will play a CD containing MP3 or WAV files -- while others will not. If you want your audio CD to play on all players it should be correctly mastered as an audio CD. There are numerous software products (E.g., NERO) that will help you master an audio CD.

1.33  The Kunaki manufactured CD or DVD has glitches, skips and does not run correctly. Is this a manufacturing or media defect?
There is a simple way to determine whether the problem is with your original source disc or a manufacturing / media defect. You can scan read each sector on your disc. If every sector is readable, then you know that there is no manufacturing or media defect. You can get a free utility like NERO ScanDisc to run this test yourself. Kunaki manufactures an exact replica of your original source disc. In effect it copies each sector.

1.34  The Kunaki manufactured CD has glitches or skips that are not on my original CD. Is this a manufacturing or media defect?
See the item above on how to test for manufacturing defects. If there is no manufacturing defect then the skip/glitch can only be introduced when the kunaki publishing software read your original and it could not read one or more sectors of your original CD because of a dirty/scratched CD or your CD player skipped one or more sectors. It's important that you order a single unit ($1.00) and test it before ordering a larger quantity.

1.35  The Kunaki manufactured CD has glitches or skips that are not on my review copy. Is this a manufacturing or media defect?
See the item above on how to test for manufacturing / media defects. If there is no manufacturing defect then each CD Kunaki manufactures (including the review copy) will be identical.

Yes. You need to make sure your master contains no intervals between tracks. We never deal with tracks or songs. Our whole system only deals with data sectors which are completely independent of tracks and such.

4.13  How does Kinaki deal with multiregion DVDs?
The DVDs we manufacture will carry the same region code as your original. We cannot convert from one region code to another. If you need your DVD in both PAL and NTSC formats you need to create two separate products and label them appropriatelly.

4.14  The colours on my CD are not identical to the colours of my artwork / The colours of my artwork are slightly different from what I expected. Why is that?
The disc printing and the paper printing are both done at 300 DPI. In general, the disc printing should be as good as the paper printing. However, there are some types of graphics and colours (gradients, and some solid colours - violet, purple) which are not done as well. For example, photographic types of images are done very well.

4.15  Why is some of the text on my CD/DVD cover/insert cut off?
We use a very accurate and advanced Japanese cutting technology. However, cutting is still not the most accurate of tasks. Therefore, we suggest you avoid placing text too close to the edges.

4.16  Why was my product incorrectly assembled? Why did I receive the wrong product?
These types of errors are relatively uncommon - but they do occur. In general, case inserts and discs, and address labels are linearly organized so they should match up. In reality, the match-ups can occasionaly become incorrect when maintenance, equipment break-downs, etc occur.

4.17  The Kunaki manufactured audio CD disc does not play in some CD players.

4.18  The Kunaki manufactured CD or DVD has glitches, skips and does not run correctly.

4.19  The Kunaki manufactured CD has glitches or skips that are not on my original CD.

4.20  The Kunaki manufactured CD has glitches or skips that are not on my review copy. Is this a manufacturing or media defect?
See the item above on how to test for manufacturing / media defects. If there is no manufacturing defect then each CD Kunaki manufactures (including the review copy) will be identical.

4.21  Why does the Kunaki manufactured DVD plays on some DVD players and not on others?
There are a number of possible causes: (a) Some very old dvd players will not play duplicated DVDs. They will only play replicated DVDs. (b) If your DVDs contain extra files, such as pdf files and text files, the dvd will not play on some players. (c) If your DVD does not contain a AUDIO_TS folder it will not play on some dvd players. (d) In some countries the video format is PAL and in others it is NTSC. (e) The total (combined video and audio) maximum bit rate should not exceed 6.5 megabits per second. (f) Some players have trouble with MPEG audio. Its best to use Dolby Digital (AC-3). (g) The disc should not contain more than 4.7 billion bytes.

5.14  I get an error message saying my disc is too big. My disc is smaller than 4.7 GB.
The message 'too big' means that the kunaki software asks the SCSI driver the last sector number -- and if this sector number is outside of the 4.75 GB max size, it reports the content as being too big. It's basically protection so that users will not try to compile a dual layer dvd.Your driver (software that binds your dvd drive to your operating system) is reporting an incorrect value when quering the last sector number. You should have no problem with another PC. Also, if you reboot your PC, it may also work.

5.15  Why do I get the error message: Unable to close drive tray?
This error occurs when the Kunaki software cannot read the last 10 sectors of the CD. This occurs when your original disc is not mastered correctly, or is defective.

5.16  Why do I receive the message: Unable to read TOC. Disc unusable or empty.
Your original source disc is not formatted correctly. Make sure it is farmatted as DAO and finalized.

5.17  Why do I receive the message: Error 502 Can't add new product to data base?
You are trying to upload a previously uploaded product. You need to start over with Step 1 of the publishing process and create a new product from scratch.

No. You need to create an original master disc.

5.20  Why does the publishing software keep adding text from the required fields to my artwork.
This occurs because you selected auto-design. Make sure you select the custom design option in the top left corner of the page.

5.21  Can I change the font and colour of the text of your stock images?

When you receive the 'unable to allocate memory' message, it means your PC is nto compatible with our software. We suggest you try another PC. If you get the message 'Cannot create product file', then the possible reasons are: You are not signed into your PC as administrator; your cd or dvd is not formatted correctly; or your PC is not compatible with our software.

5.23  Every time I try to upload a product the Kunaki software crashes my PC. Why is that?
This is very unusual. It means your PC is not compatible with our software. We suggest you try another PC.

5.24  Why am I getting the error message 'Can't get necessary component.'?
The kunaki software downloads some components which it needs to run. You probably have some network security/protection software running. Try to disable the security software temporarily and then restart the Kunaki softwarex.
